About us

Recently we got a Rottler EM109H machine at our shop in the Netherlands.
It is a CNC machine especially made for boring and surfacing large engines to get them to spec again.

  1. Line boring, main bearings and cam bearings.
  2. Boring and sleeving the counter bore of the cilinder liner.
  3. Machining the thrust face for the liner to get the collar height in spec
  4. Surfacing the deck using a large flycutter
  5. Water corrosion repair of the deck
  6. repairing for example idler gear boring, sleeving

The Rottler EM109H is the largest machine available.

Line boring

Line boring isn't done in the conventional way using a long boring bar, but using the CNC capabilities of the machine.

Thrust Bearing and Block End machining can be done during same set up with Rottler’s Special Right Angle Drive Tooling.
